Privacy Policy

Your meetings never come to us.

MeetScribe is built so that the seller never sees your meeting content at all. This page explains, in plain language, what little information exists outside the product itself. Last updated: November 8, 2026.

The short version

The core product runs entirely on your own computer. There is no account, nothing is uploaded, and we receive none of your recordings, transcripts, meeting library, or usage data — ever. The only personal information we hold is what a purchase and an email conversation normally create: your email address, what you bought, and our messages with you.

What happens inside the product

Recording, transcription, import, search, the action items and decisions, the commitments register, and export all work offline on your machine. Your library is a file on your own computer. Delete that file and the data is gone — there is no copy anywhere else. License activation is offline; no server is contacted. The only downloads involved in using MeetScribe are the program itself and a one-time speech-model download (about 75 MB) the first time you transcribe a recording.

MeetScribe Pro and Fathom

Pro adds automatic sync with Fathom. It works with your own Fathom account and your own API key, and the connection runs from your computer to Fathom. Synced meetings land in the same library on your machine. We do not receive your Fathom data, your API key, or the synced meetings.

When you buy

Checkout is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your payment details under Stripe's own privacy policy — we never see or store your card number. From the purchase we receive your email address and what you bought, so we can send you the download and your license key. We keep a record of the sale (email address, product, date, and license key) so we can support your purchase, resend your key, and honour the refund policy.

When you email us

If you write to us, we keep the conversation so we can help you and remember what was already tried. We do not use support emails for marketing, and we do not sell or rent email addresses or any other personal information to anyone.

This website

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub may record standard technical information about visits (such as IP addresses) under GitHub's own privacy policy. There are no buyer accounts on this website, and buying does not require signing in to anything here.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time what purchase information we hold about you, and ask us to delete it. Where the law requires us to keep a transaction record, we keep only that record. Write to miravale@muse.ai.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Changes will never quietly change the core promise: your meetings stay on your machine.
